Diego Castro

Bachelor of Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Lavras, PhD in Ecology from the Postgraduate Program in Ecology, Conservation and Management of Wildlife at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and from the Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University, France. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Fish Ecology Laboratory/UFMG, where he is developing his project evaluating the trophic dynamics of aquatic communities in a highly urbanized river basin. He has experience in the area of ​​​​Ecology of Aquatic Environments and monitoring of aquatic fauna, working mainly with ecology of benthic macroinvertebrates, functional diversity, stable isotopes, bioindicators of water quality and physical habitats. In addition, he has experience in the impacts of mining activities on aquatic environments, working as a technical consultant in environmental consulting firms.
