Jasmine K Stovall
Jasmine is a PhD student at Baylor University under the advisement of Dr. Thad Scott. She is originally from Omaha, NE and completed her undergraduate work at Iowa State University where she was first introduced to limnology as an undergraduate lab technician. Her work aims to better understand the relationship between human activity and water quality from an ecological perspective. Specifically, she is interested in learning about how human activity can affect the quality of lakes and reservoirs, and the biological communities that inhabit them. Most of her current research involves the study of phytoplankton and their response to environmental changes. She is passionate about educating others on the importance of protecting and conserving global freshwater resources.
