Michael Trapp
Michael Trapp is a Master’s student in Biology at Grand Valley State University’s Robert B. Annis Water Resources Institute, where his research focuses on age-0 trout survival in the North Branch Au Sable River in Michigan. His academic and professional background centers on freshwater ecology, fish biology, and aquatic resource management. Michael has conducted research and fieldwork across the Great Lakes region and the Pacific Northwest with institutions such as the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, and Michigan State University. His experience includes fish trapping, electrofishing, PIT tagging, and hatchery operations. Michael is passionate about applying rigorous ecological science to inform conservation and fisheries management.
