Matthew W Sand
I grew up in St. Clair Shores, MI. After high school, I went to Central Michigan University for my bachelor's in biology. Currently, I am both a master's student and lab supervisor in the wetland ecology lab at CMU. My primary research focus is in wetland ecology, specifically aquatic plants and nutrient levels. While acting as lab supervisor, I have worked on multiple research projects, most notably would be the Great Lakes Coastal Wetland Monitoring Program where I have been a vegetation sample crew leader for 6 years.
