Hazel D Quarterman
Hazel Quarterman is a NSF RaMP Post-bac fellow at Georgia Southern University. She graduated from the University of Georgia in Spring of 2024 with a BSFR in Fisheries and Wildlife.
is a third year at the University of Georgia, where she is a Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences major with an emphasis in Aquatic Sciences. Her interest in aquatic sciences was fostered by a childhood on Georgia’s coast, fishing with family and exploring the water. Hazel aspires to put science communication, community connection, and teamwork at the forefront of her work. She is pursuing a career as an aquatic ecologist with a focus on preserving resources for marginalized coastal communities.
