Elizabeth Brock

Elizabeth A. Brock received her bachelor’s degree at Haskell Indian Nations University in December 2022. During her undergraduate studies she worked as a Lab Technician assistant in Dr. Jim Thorp’s Freshwater Ecology lab at the University of Kansas from May 2021 to December 2022. During her positions as a technician assistant, she was involved with NSF playa projects that focused on freshwater crustaceans and macroinvertebrates. This has inspired her to bring her acquired knowledge of macroinvertebrates to her indigenous community. She is currently, a graduate research student at New Mexico State University working on her masters in the Water Science and Management program. Her thesis investigates the impacts of subsequent flow variations on Macroinvertebrate assemblages.
