Lacy A Miller

Lacy Miller is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Biology at Baylor University. Her research explores the structure and function of small aquatic ecosystems, with a focus on the hot, dynamic ponds of central Texas. Her dissertation investigates productivity, nutrient cycling, and microbial community dynamics in these systems using satellite remote sensing, high-frequency sensors, and molecular techniques. Prior to graduate school, Lacy worked in surface water quality monitoring at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Baylor University. Outside of academia, she is a mother of three and spends her free time caring for a variety of animals on her hobby farm.
