Raul Gonzalez
Raul Gonzalez is a Scientist and First Line Manager in the Microbial and Biome Sciences group (Bioscience Division) at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Raul received his Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Arizona State University, where he worked on metabolic engineering of cyanobacteria for improved stress tolerance. He did two postdoctoral periods at Michigan State University and LANL, studying carbon fixation mechanisms in cyanobacteria and algae, respectively. His lab leverages synthetic and molecular biology techniques towards developing photosynthetic microbes as platforms for biomanufacturing of fuel and renewable chemicals.
